What is the difference between distance/correspondence, online self-paced and online with instructor?

MTI offers three course formats to better match the needs of our teachers. Here are our course formats and how they are different from each other.

Distance/Correspondence: Allows you to work at your own pace at our lowest rates. We send you the book you need for the course and you follow the syllabus from our website to complete all the assignments. Once you are done, you email us your work.
The Difference: Self-paced, but you use physical study books.

2. Online Self-Paced: This course format allows you to study at home, but using an online format via your computer. It also allows you to get feedback from other educators nationwide.

The Difference: Self-paced, but you use a computer online for your learning.

3. Online with Instructor: This format is an online format via your computer, but comes with an instructor who keeps you focused on a specific timeline. You’re led by an instructor who has experience in the topics being taught.

The Difference: Instructor-led, not self-paced. You use a computer online for your learning and follow a specific schedule directed by your instructor.
