- Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Fees and Payments
- Pricing: All course fees are listed on the Site and are subject to change without notice.
- Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). MTI does not store your credit card information.
- Academic Credit: Fees typically include tuition and materials, but you are responsible for ensuring that the specific university partner and format you select meet your district’s requirements.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
We strive for complete satisfaction. Our refund policy is as follows:
- 7-Day Window: You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund within seven (7) days of the date of registration, provided you have received your materials and decide not to take the course.
- After 7 Days: No refunds are issued after the 7-day period. However, you may apply your paid fees toward another class within one (1) calendar year of your original registration date.
- Process: To request a refund, please email [email protected]. Refunds are typically processed within 3–5 business days.
6. Academic Integrity & Accreditation
- Licensure Responsibility: While MTI courses are nationally accredited through university partners, it is your sole responsibility to verify with your school district, state licensing board, or governing body that a specific course will be accepted for salary advancement or recertification.
- Academic Honesty: You agree to complete all coursework independently and in accordance with the academic integrity policies of both MTI and the accrediting university partner.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including but not limited to course syllabi, videos, text, graphics, and logos, is the property of MTI or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to access materials for your personal professional development. You may not redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit any course materials without express written consent.
8. FERPA Compliance
In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), MTI protects the privacy of student education records. We only share student records with accrediting university partners to issue credit or as required by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MTI shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services, including but not limited to a district’s refusal to accept credits or changes in state licensing requirements.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Lake County, Indiana.
11. Changes to Terms
MTI reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our Site or via email. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
