Course Description:

This course will provide teachers, principals and counselors with the knowledge and strategies of substance abuse.  Grow in your understanding about addiction including the warning signs, intervention ideas and prevention strategies. Learn why and how youth use substances and explore resources to teach students about the life-long effects of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.  Educators will be challenged to push themselves and those they lead to improve student achievement.

Learning Outcomes/Competencies:
